Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Remedia (remedia.in) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal and health information when you use our website and online homeopathic consultation service. Remedia is committed to handling your data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"). By using the service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information we collect.

Account details you provide when you register or submit a consultation — your name, email address, and phone number. Consultation information — the health details you enter in the intake and follow-up forms, including your complaint, medical history, lifestyle, and, where relevant, women's health information. Uploads — any photos, reports, or files you attach to your case. Payment confirmation — the status and reference of your payment (we do not store your full card or bank details; see the payments section below). Limited technical data — basic information your browser sends, such as your IP address, used to keep the service secure.

2. How we use your information.

We use your information solely to provide the consultation service: to review your case, send your written prescription, handle follow-ups, process your payment, and send service-related messages such as one-time login codes, password-reset links, and case notifications. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you separately choose to receive them.

3. Legal basis and consent.

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and to deliver the service you have requested, as required under the DPDP Act. You may withdraw your consent at any time, although doing so may mean we can no longer continue your consultation.

4. Payment information.

Payments are processed through our payment gateway, Razorpay. Your card or bank details are entered directly on Razorpay's secure gateway and are not stored by Remedia; we retain only the status and reference of your payment for our records.

5. Cookies and local storage.

We use minimal, essential storage: a login token kept in your browser to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this storage through your browser at any time, though you will then need to log in again.

6. Who can see your information.

Your case is visible only to the treating registered practitioner and to authorised Remedia staff who are bound by confidentiality. Service providers who process data on our behalf — email delivery, Razorpay payment processing, and hosting — access only what they need to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We never sell your data, and we never share it for third-party marketing.

7. Legal disclosure.

We may disclose your information where required to do so by law or a valid court order, or where reasonably necessary to protect the safety, rights, and security of the service and its users.

8. Data security.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. Please keep your password secure and tell us at support@remedia.in immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

9. Data retention.

Consultation and prescription records are retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet medical record-keeping and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data, which we will honour subject to those retention requirements.

10. Your rights.

Under the DPDP Act, you may access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, request its deletion, and withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@remedia.in; we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Confidentiality of your consultation.

Your consultation and prescription are intended for your personal use. Communications about your case remain within your private case file and are never posted publicly or shared with other patients.

12. Accuracy of your information.

Please provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date health information. The guidance and prescription you receive depend directly on what you tell us, so keeping your information correct is important for your care.

13. Children.

The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors without a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may seek a consultation on a child's behalf using their own account.

14. Third-party links.

Our site may contain links to other websites whose privacy practices we do not control. This policy applies only to Remedia; please review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

15. Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, and your continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

16. Contact.

For any questions or requests about your personal data or this policy, contact us at support@remedia.in.
